I received the first six castings of Guernsey Foundry's US Cavalry. WOW. They measure 26mm from base of foot to eye. Five of the six have raised pistols, none has the same hat, shirt front or face. Two are clean shaven, two with moustaches and two with moustache and goatee. The troopers come mounted on saddles which have rope, canteen, blanket, rain coat?, feedbag, carbine, saddlebags, and tin cup surrounding the troopers legs. You really can't even see the saddle. The horses are of two poses, both galloping with a raised US on the left front leg. The detail is quite nice, although the detail on the shirt fronts are minimal. Overall, who cares about the shirt front, you can't hardly see it anyway. With all the other raised detail on the troopers they should paint up very nicely. I do not have a price and am not sure of the 'deal' yet. But based on previous deals, like the Apaches, 42 Indians and 11 horses for $67 post paid, it's hard to beat. Highly recommended. If any reader is interested in these troopers send me some postage money and they're yours. I still have Plains Indians for one or more of you.
