Northwest Frontier

Scenario

by Richard Brooks

It's your turn to leapfrog on flank guard. You are the advance coy of your brigade moving through a valley. The last coy was cut to pieces and the column slowed by Pathans on the hill tops that had to be cleared the hard way by frontal assualt.

What do you do?

You must clear both flanks simultaneously. You are two moves ahead of the column.

Victory conditions

British - clear the hill tops without column stopping and minor loses to your coy. Wounded ok, but dead are not.

Pathan - stop the British, kill as many as possible without any loses to yourself.

Forces:

British

Captain, Lt., 2 Sgts, 2 Cpls, 2 Buglers, 24 Pvts

Pathan

    2 amirs, 2 drummers, 40 Pathans

Pathans set up in hard cover. Your coy can set up at any point along the departure line after the Pathans have set up. Pathans may be hidden.

Large Map (49K)

Special rules: Once the Brits are above the Pathans, the Pathans must lose any morale benefits they have and check morale before and after any movement and firing.
