Since Origins 2004 I have come to the conclusion that there is more to conventions than just gaming. If I am not mistaken one of the prime directives of HMGS is education. As a member of the War College at Origins 2004 I came to understand the importance of speaking about why we are interested in gaming. My primary interest is really history, consequently with my models I can interest people in both history or gaming. Sometimes both. To do this I have begun giving seminars. First I explain the history behind my scenario. When done I take my audience to the model buildings I use for the specific scenario game. At The Siege of Augusta I was able to entertain and inform a small group of College students from the local college in Augusta. Thanks to Jim Birdseye I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and better use my models. If you would like me to come to your show with my models just contact me in advance on line at pviverito@classicalhack.com or write me at the address on the back page by U.S. Mail. No show is too big and no show is too small.
