For those players inter ested in Homeric Hack and long for a good Biblical set of rules I have posted to the Classical Hack web site a short piece on how to use Homeric Hack for period games outsideof but still contemporary with the Trojan War era. Readers are reminded that the battle of Qadesh is contemporary with the Trojan War. Certainly the War for Troy (circa 1200 B.C.) and the battle of Qadesh (circa 1274 B.C.) fall within a hundred years of each other making them some what close in time. I know both dates are speculative and are often still debated. For our purposes this will have to do. At the end of this year I get the rights back to Holy Hack Hacking By the Book: Biblical Warfare and until then I will support attempts at playing Biblical battles within the time frame of Homeric Hack. All players have to do is to is use the Trojan Allies charts and these should satisfy basic needs. Remember Egyptians and Hittites do not dismount from their chariots. Also use the chariot sections in Homeric Hack in order to understand how chariots operate. Then too there is the web site note book at http://www.classicalhack.com/apurpose.
