Carrying on my tradition of telling you how I interpret this feedback, here goes: Bill Stone must be congratulated on having both the first and second placings. Coupled with the third place article, the readership has unsurprisingly showed their Europa bias. With Europa out of the way, Richard Berg's column heads the list, followed closely by Frank Chadwick's. I am gratified to see both doing so well, as together they provide a forum on the hobby that is unequalled in any other professional magazine (at least in my humble opinion). The Operation Taifun scenario has generated some controversy. I have received a number of complaints that it is unbalanced: about 60% of them claim the Soviets can not win while the other 40% contended the Germans can not win. A game between these two camps would certainly be interesting ... The Road to the Rhine article seems to have suffered a bit at the hands of the OB enthusiasts: they wanted even more information! Well, more is on the way on the US Army for this campaign; Mr. Stanton assures me he is producing an article on the airborne units. Finally, the Salerno review finished last, but with a respectable trans-6.0 number. This one seems to have caught it because it was on a non-Europa, non-GDW game. On the other hand, one feedback commented, "A professional review. I learned more about the game than from any of the other wargaming 'zine reviews . . ." A sentiment with which I entirely agree, this review is one of the best I have ever read. Space does not permit me to comment on much of the written feedback, though I enjoy reading it. This set has produced numerous requests for a 1942 scenario for DN0/UNT I am presently inspecting such a scenario and hope to include it in next issue.
