At first, I was undecided whether to run the feedback results or not. I must admit I never expected my article, Inside Marita- Merkur, to come out on top! However, I decided to put aside modesty and run the results, simply due to personal philosophy: whenever I participate in a survey, I certainly want to know the results. Now, here is how I interpret the results. IMM's high placement can be explained due to the fact that it's about GDW's latest Europa release, as interest is always high in our latest releases. This is encouraging if true, for I always have material similar in nature to IMM for the games on which I worked. RFW placed high due to the fact that it's a new scenario for a GDW game: the feedback's nonquantified comments indicated that scenarios are what the readership is most eager to see. Thus, Operation Taifun, a DNO scenario, is appearing in this issue. OT, for those of you who remember, was first printed in Europa Newsletter 1. I reprinted it because the current circulation is far greater than that of EN I, thus most of you are seeing it for the first time. I also have another DNO scenario from the Europa Newsletters that I could reprint; if you feel strongly one way or the other, send your opinions c/o the editor. The low placing of NAL and Counterpoint is clearly due to the fact that they are on a non-GDW game. I prefer to emphasize GDW games, and you clearly prefer this, but I will print articles about other publishers' products on occasion, as this magazine's subtitle is "Wargaming Quarterly", not "GDW Wargames Quarterly". Finally, the articles I haven't mentioned all fell within .5 points of one another. I take this as an indication that I presented a balanced mix in that issue, with something of interest for everyone. By the way, a straw count reveals that the Yugoslav Army received the most "9" ratings of all, followed by 27th Panzer. It has been suggested that had 27th Panzer told the readers to add a panzer division to Drang Nach Osten! instead of remove one, it would have easily been the highest rated article.
