Closing Remarks

by Peter Corless

When I took on Pendragon from Chaosium, I felt an obligation, a duty and responsibility to the community. At the same time, I felt a great sense of fun and adventure. Finally, I was going to tackle the ultimate challenge: to combine my love for gaming, for history, and for Arthuriana, with my desire to run a growing company, and take it to profitability. This is like two great knights colliding on the tourney field: mixing business and pleasure, a dangerous and exciting combination.

Now, I have to take on an even larger challenge: to sit back and relax for a little while, and let these new knights take over some of the action. Once you've been in the thick of the fray, it's sometimes hard to extricate yourself; there's always a desire to leap right back in. The good thing is both Roderick and Jim know how to poke me in the eye, I mean, ribs, when I'm getting too attached to the work.

Ah, time goes by swiftly these days. Tomorrow I fly out to Origins. I'll give an update when I'm back in July. For now, enjoy the sunshine, the summer break, and whatever work or recreation you set before yourself.

Hope to see some of you this week in Columbus!
