The amount of outpouring of support has been *enormous*! Contributions and comments are flowing in from around the world on so many projects, we'll run out of months in the year to release them in! This is the obvious limiter: the "fourth dimension", real-world time. We're already somewhat behind schedule: "Arthur, the Bear of Britain" originally had a shipment date assigned to October, and it's slipped again to January. As things start to smooth out and ramp up again, we should be able to move towards a predictive release schedule. The "Tales" books are now edited. Artists have been engaged to frame the work with interior and cover illustrations. It's time to move towards layout and pre-production. Well, actually, right now, it's time to move to a well-deserved rest. It's Christmas Day, and we're looking at a brand new year for Pendragon. This is a special time, in the cycle of "Sir Gawaine and the Green Knight." The adventure is almost over, but in other ways, it has yet to begin. The soltice was past -- the days were now to get lighter. Gawaine is a guest of Sir Bertilak, and his great temptations will begin with the days of the hunt between Christmas and New Year's Eve. New Year's marks the end of the adventure, where Gawaine leaps up with a slight cut across his neck, furiously embarrassed and relieved at the same time. Sir Bertilak reveals himself, and explains how he has caught Gawaine with the gift of the enchanted girdle. But Gawaine was not going to lose his head, even though he had been resigned to accept the worst. The dark fate of Gawaine's quest was over. It was time to head back from the Green Chapel, return to the court of King Arthur, tell his tale truthfully, get some friendly ribbing from his fellows, rest up (albeit without waking to the tempation of Sir Bertilak's wife!), and resume his daily living. If I am embarrassed at some of the production delays and advertizing goofs, it is all worthwhile, because the course of this adventure ran true and well. I've protected the Pendragon's head from the threat it faced earlier this year, of being cut off (from further product development), by extending my own neck in return. Amazing! It's nice how some myths stay relevant over the years. Well, with that, all I have left to say is "Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Years! Here's to a bright 1999!" ...and now, to all, a good night!
