Green Knight and Chaosium have furthered our business committment to develop King Arthur Pendragon(TM) as a world-wide success by signing an agreement of agency for Chaosium to seek out opportunities for intellectual property licensing in foreign language markets. This is to grant the right to use the King Arthur Pendragon(TM) trademark on products developed in languages other than English, either wholly new and original works, or to translate Green Knight's English-language products into native language markets. Chaosium, prior to the creation of Green Knight, had granted rights to Pendragon products for German, French, and Italian markets. These agreements need to be reviewed and renewed by Green Knight, or renegociated as necessary. Where licensing agreements have lapsed, or in markets where native translations never existed before, we hope to find new long-term partners to create strong local product support. It is important to recognize native language markets for roleplaying and fiction works, and for Arthurian works in particular. Beyond being "King of the Britons," Arthur is recognized across the world in literature, art, music, movies and other works of classic and popular culture. He could truly claim, to the literary and mythopoetic world at least, the title "King of the World." Many works featuring Arthur, the Round Table, the Holy Grail, the ladies and gentlemen of Camelot, and other Arthurian themes, have become treasures of national trust and cultural pride. Having native language editions of Pendragon works will help develop, through its natural entertainment and subtle education, the values and knowledge necessary to appreciate these great works of ages past.
