This Thanksgiving week, I have a lot to be thankful for. Not least of which is to be granted the good will of the gaming pubic and Greg Stafford, the author and creator, as the new trustee of "King Arthur Pendragon." I have to admit I have been thoroughly enjoying my experience as a small publisher over the past months. Working with Chaosium has been very positive and productive. Lynn, Charlie, and Eric have all done a super job getting "Arthur, the Bear of Britain" ready for publication. Dustin has been calling the "loyal minions" to get events ready for conventions across the country (especially Dundracon, February 1999 in Northern California), and to keep retailers apprised of the latest. Speaking of Dundracon, let me know if you plan on attending, and if you want to run any Pendragon events. I'm coordinating a schedule now, to be submitted no later than January 8th 1999. I'd need your commitments by December 15. The odd business and finance shuffling took a tad more time to set up than I first anticipated, but things look in good order now. My efforts over the next couple of months will be to stay in closer touch with the creative community. Liam, Chaosium folks, and the bevy of various authors and artists necessary to bring all the products together require closer attention than I've been able to do in the past. The loyalty program described above is still in its infancy. I wanted to let you all know about it for now, but I'm not at a point where I could open it up to general advertizement. Treat this, and all this news, as the kernel of where I hope to lead the community as things continue to settle into a good meter & rhyme. As the months progress, I hope to create a steady increase in the number and quality of events and commitments to you. I'd also like to express my thanks for all the supporters and participants in the development of "King Arthur Pendragon." I hope you would agree it is all good, exciting developments. Look forward to more news in December!
