Green Knight publishing has officially become a "sole proprietor" in Santa Clara County, California. Next step is to post a "fictious business" listing in local paper, and then file for a business license to operate in the City of Mountain View, California. Meanwhile, Chaosium and Green Knight made arrangements for the ongoing sale and distribution of Pendragon products, and to bring the first of the new Pendragon products to market.

"Arthur, Bear of Britain" was originally due in November, and the first "Tales" books were due by December, but the Stock Market "mini-crash" kept my purse a little tight until the recent recovery. I decided to be "Prudent" rather than "Reckless". In fact, I think we had a "critical success". The tactic paid off when good Uncle Greenspan blessed the market for us all. In waiting a few weeks, the market recovery has provided enough to run the above production train with little worries for the next year. Thanks also to my "day job" provider, Cisco Systems, Inc.

To keep my commitments to you, though, I promised a "Christmas present" for all the good boys & girls waiting for King Arthur, er, Santa Claus to arrive. "Arthur: BoB" is all laid out, and ready to go to the printer's now. Because of the time to turn-around product, I will see what it would take to get the printing "expedited". Given Christmas season, it might not even be possible. Still, a promise is a promise, and I will let you know what I learn by the next update in mid-December.

The first of the two "Tales" will follow at least a month after "Arthur" comes back. Products should then follow every 4-8 weeks, with a target of 6 weeks to make a good, predictable supply chain. The only thing that can stop this is production glitches, market crashes, and the usual "insurance" statements all companies provide about war, insurrection, other unforseen disasters, natural and man-made.

However, we should be able to weave new & reprinted products to keep shelves stocked throughout 1999.
