A New 'Hunnicutt'

Bradley
A History of American Fighting
and Support Vehicles

The monumental books on American armoured fighting vehicles by R. P. Hunnicutt are admired the world over. Now a new volume is to be added to the existing series which includes:

Sheridan: A History of the American Light Tank
Sherman: A History of the American Medium Tank
Pershing: A History of the Medium Tank T20 Series

The new volume is: BRADLEY A History of American Fighting and Support Vehicles.

This new, detailed and lavishly illustrated volume traces the development of U.S. military vehicles after World War II, and examines the key technological advances that made the Bradley family of infantry vehicles possible.

The Germans dominated mechanised warfare for much of World War II and their revolutionary use of tanks and AFVs led to other powers hastily reassessing the use and potency of their own armoured forces. The quest to make the best vehicles, and get the most out of them, continued in the post-war period, and, in the United States, Bradley engineers developed the outstanding M113 Armored Personel Carrier (APC). Later, as the Cold War flourished, America produced the formidable Bradley family of tanks.

R. P. Hunnicutt presents an exceptional study of pioneering military science, and his acute attention to detail makes Bradley an essential guide to a mainstay of American armoured power.

The format of Bradley is the same as for the other books, 280 x 216mm (11 x 8.5in), and it has 470 pages. There are 1,243 black and white photographs, plus 14 colour plates. The British retail price will be £ 55.

Also being restored to print is Hunnicutt's Pershing, at £ 45.
