Almost simultaneously as a Receiver was appointed a few weeks ago for Brassey, Conway and Putnam, there followed the announcement that the book stocks and intellectual property rights had been bought by Chrysalis. This move follows Chrysalis also recently buying from the Receiver the assets of Batsford, and Salamander a year or two back. John Neeleman, Chairman of Chrysalis, has been quoted as saying "We have taken on all the Brassey's staff and intend to expand all parts of the Brassey, Conway and Putnam lists". 12 staff have now moved into the Chrysalis offices.
