MILITARY BOOK TAKEOVER Ian Allan has taken over the well-known specialist mail order business Midland Counties Publications and its associated publishing division, Midland Publishing. This acquistion will expand Ian Allan Publishing's mail order business and their bookshop group. The addition of Midland Publishing will also add aviation, railway and road transport titles to Ian Allan Publishing's list. Ian Allan Publishing recently purchased the railway imprint OPC. STACKPOLE U.K. DISTRIBUTION In addition to the military and history books published by Stackpole and distributed by Greenhill Books internationally, Stackpole have a fine and wide range of books on other non-fiction subjects. These are now available in Great Britain, distributed by Gazelle.
