Surprise

Eddie Coffey

Greenhill organised an exceptional surprise party at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the annual meeting of the book trade world.

Greenhill's long standing agent in Australia is Eddie Coffey, head of the family business Peribo (with his wife Dina, sons Andrew and Michael, and daughter Jane), and Eddie recently celebrated his seventieth birthday. To congratulate Eddie on this landmark event his friends from Great Britain, Australia and the United States were invited to a special, secret gathering, and the surprise was complete. Nearly fifty guests awaited Eddie when he came to the Greenhill stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Eddie has had a lifelong love of cricket and in addition to a special presentation certificate signed by those attending the event, he was presented with an original lithograph print of W. G. Grace by 'Spy' from Vanity Fair, published in 1877, plus a 'Flicker' book showing the great Australian Test cricketer Clarrie Grimmett in action in the 1930s.
