Author and historian Ian Fletcher, formerly of Midas Historic Tours, has set up a new and completely independent company, Ian Fletcher Battlefields Tours, focusing on the British Army of the 18th and 19th centuries. As the author of a dozen books published by Spellmount on the Peninsular War and Wellington's Army it will come as no great surprise to learn that his first tours in 1999 concentrate on the Iberian peninsula, featuring tours to Portugal and central Spain (including Vittoria and Corunna).
