Paddy Griffith is releasing a new book, Art of War of Revolutionary France 1789-1802, revealing how French armies were able to achieve ultimate success over teh armies of Austria, Prussia, Britain, and Spain. He captures the verve and exceitement of these campaigns, demonstrating the power of the French armies before Napoleon from the fall of the Bastille to the Treaty of Amiens.

Army organization, operations, navy, personalities and more are included. Greenhill will also be re-releasing Griffith's in paperback, which examines the seamanship, mobility, strategy, concept of battle, and exploitation of victory. He demonstrates how they were able to found colonies and confront a diverse array of enemies in three centuries of military conquest.
