A Greenhill classic has just been reprinted, along with a book published less than a year ago. The book which gets regularly reprinted and has just gone back to press yet again is Infantry Attacks by Erwin Rommel. Field Marshal Rommel is of course one of the best known German generals of World War II, and this book describes his little known participation in World War I. It was on the merits of this book, which Hitler read in the 1930s, that Rommel was promoted to senior rank and the rest, as they say, is history. The second book to be reprinted is the classic German Artillery of World War II by Ian V. Hogg. First published about twenty years ago and the standard work on the subject, Greenhill reissued the book in the Spring of 1997 because of the demand for it on the second hand market, and now it has had to be reprinted.
