In November 2002, more than a million people took part in a nationwide poll to decide who deserved the title of greatest Briton of all time. Just under half a million people vote for the eventual winner, Sir Winston Churchill. Just under 50,000 people voted for Horatio Nelson – 13,000 less votes than John Lennon! Greenhill Books and Chatham Publishing are launching a new poll to find the best and worst military leaders of all time. Does George ‘Dubya’ Bush deserve a vote in either? Or both? General Pinochet, Ghengis Kahn, Alexander the Great, Adolf Hitler, Napoleon or Wellington? Please consider who you would like to see crowned as the best and worst military leaders, and email your ideas to competition@greenhillbooks.com Back to Greenhill Military Book News No. 129 Table of Contents Back to Greenhill Military Book News List of Issues Back to Master Magazine List © Copyright 2004 by Greenhill Books This article appears in MagWeb.com (Magazine Web) on the Internet World Wide Web.
