Herbie Woodend who died recently was the Custodian of the Ministry of Defence Pattern Room Museum (popularly known as ‘Enfield’) and one of the world’s renowned firearms experts. He never wrote a book, but he was the source that many, many authors went to for information. He was sixty years old.
