Hitler's Light Cruisers

Napoleon’s Foreign Soldiers

by Lionel Levanthal

One of the many co-editions of Butterflies of the World. Whilst in progress we called it Butterflies of World War Two.Greenhill will soon be making available another volume in the successful series on German warships of World War II. In German Light Cruisers of World War II the authors Gerhard Koop and Klaus-Pater Schmolke present the illustrated history of each individual ship in this important class of warship. Statistical information and complete technical specifications are included, giving an insight into the performance and potential of each vessel. The text is supported by illustrations throughout: technical plans, camouflage drawings and hundreds of previously unpublished photographs, many of them from the private collections of former crew members.

This important book is the fifth book in a successful series. The other books are:

Battleships of the Bismarck Class
Battleships of the Scharnhorst Class
Pocket Battleships of the Deutschland Class
Heavy Cruisers of the Admiral Hipper Class

Klaus-Peter Schmolke actually served on the Leipzig, one of the vessels detailed in the book, and Gerhard Koop is a respected authority on the German Navy.
