From the Greenhill publishing of alternate history we have noticed several terms being used for this kind of narrative. Firstly, of course, is 'alternate history'. The related term 'alternative history' is sometimes used. Then there is 'speculative history', and 'what might have been'. The latest term being used is 'counter-factual history'. Greenhill are however still unique in our approach to this fascinating method of providing an alternate account of what might have been in a counter-factual fashion.
