Volley & Bayonet and
Glory, The Rough Riders #1 & #2

Review:

I have reviewed the two books by Volley & Bayonet & Glory.... The Rough Riders #1 and #2. The first one has a very good history of the conflict (Spanish American) and the reasons for. There is a lot of detail about the forces involved and an San Juan Hill Scenario and Order of Battle. I would recommend it to my students, if they were trying to pass a test! Volume #2 has a campaign, Uniform Info for Spanish, Cuban and American forces and Scenarios and additional rules. This would be helpful for players of Volley & Bayonet, and would add to any other rules. I am modifying them slightly for Piquet!

The Old Glory / Architectural Heritage Buildings are nice resin buildings, with 9 or 10 for $60.00 retail. They are European and fit in well with 17th century through Napoleonic and on to Franco-Prussian, and without much modification they could portray some of the towns I saw in Germany in the 1980's. Very nicely done. I am adding two sets to the store scenery collection.

I found a "tongue in cheek" set of rules called "Violence" which is for all of the role-players who want a truly crude set of rules that they can read and laugh at.
