http://www.Piquet.org/ - Here's the official Piquet (PK) web page. From here, you can go to FAQ, scenarios, battle reports, game aids, and so much more. There are a few good scenarios to play here. Expect more to pop up as folks find out that this site is available. Lots of information on this site to clarify and expand the PK rules. This falls in my best page of the quarter category! http://members.aol.com/mhannam/GAUNTLET.html - I always throw out this page. This is my partner Mark Hannam's page and is always a treat for the eyes. You never know what rules set is going to pop up or what quips will find their way onto your screen. Mark is the creative genius and here's your chance to see just a little of it (subscribe to the Gauntlet to see more). http://www.zouave.org/gallery/duryees/a16warer.html - here's the 5th New York State Volunteers web page. These were the zouaves during the Civil War and parts of their storied history is shared here. http://www.halcyon.com/shamrock/ - this page has been updated and John McEwan of Reviresco really puts out a fine page. Take a look to see what's new. Models in 28mm, 20mm, and other scales. http://tetrad.stanford.edu/WebJPEGs/MiniaturesGallery.html - everyone who is online should know about Ed Allen and his Hobby Hovel page. If you haven't made it over there lately, check it out. Here's the sub-page with all the pictures of Ed's creations and painting. A nice diverse selection and well done! http://tetrad.stanford.edu/Frederick.html - this is on Ed Allen's page but requires special mention on its own. This is Frederick the Great's military instruction to his generals. It gives you the basic of how he thought a battle (and war) should be fought. Note the emphasis on logistics. The companion piece on Frederick's instruction to the cavalry can be accessed from here, too. Great work and available for free on line! http://www.altdorf.com/terragenesis/ - this is the end all terrain building (creation) for tabletop wargamers. Well, that means you and me! This is a great page with step by step instructions and lots of pictures so you get the picture! Although the flavor of this site is for 40k and other space/sci-fi games, the applicability and usefulness of what you can create are applicable anywhere. http://www.caliverbooks.demon.co.uk/ - this is the site for Caliver Books in the UK. You can browse their site and see what they have. For those of us in the States (or beyond), if we find something we like, we can then look to see if a vendor has it a little closer to home. If not, you can always order directly from the UK. Hey! My future father-in-law works for the Post Office; we have to keep him in a job, don't we? http://207.82.250.251/cgi-bin/linkrd?http://www.pacprod.com - looking for a scale model aircraft to put on display in your office? This site shows where and how much. The aircraft are made from Philippine mahogany and are well done and to scale. The immense scale model display at Nellis AFB threat museum is done completely by the artisans who produce these aircraft. http://www.w-n-s.com/shops/OutlandG/OLGpaint.htm - this is Outland Games painting service. Chris von Fahnestock and his crew at Outland could add those required touches to your lead or their lead that you buy from them. There's also a lot of other neat stuff on this page. http://www.wulfs-hq-games.com/ - a new site from an old game shop, worth a look http://www.greenhillbooks.com - the historical publisher in the UK is now online. Teutobergerwald web sites: http://www.osnabrueck-net.de/Touristik/kalkriese.html - in German but has good maps. http://home.t-online.de/home/fiksleer/romint.htm - the Romans in east Frisia, a summary in English http://home.t-online.de/home/fiksleer/romind.htm - the above original article in German http.//www.geschichte.uni-osnabrueck.de/project/start.html http://www.oasistech.com/hmgss/martelle.htm -This is the site of Gauntlet Publications in the U.S. Enjoy and e-mail me if you find the good sites hiding out there on the web.
