Indian Mutiny figures are available in 6mm from Irregular who produce a wonderful array of troop types and accesorles, 25mm from Worgames Foundry and Dixons in 15mm. The most readable history of the Mutiny can be found in The Great Mutiny by Christopher Hlbbert, whilst Donald Featherstone's MacDonald of the 42nd and Dando on Delhi Ridge by I think James Clive make excellent military fiction. The Siege of Krlahnapur by J.G. Farrell is a superb period novel and though languid in places, sets the scene nicely. The two best and cheapest sources of uniform reference are Military Modelling , July 1986 and Military Illustrated : Past and Present, Nos. 19 and 21. Don't forget that there are several Osprey Men At Arms titles that can also be used.
