Robert Hagerty has released Russian figures in 25mm scale for the Great Northern War. Figures in the photo are:
GR7: Russian Grenadier, advancing, cloth mitre GR9: Russian Grenadier Drummer GR8: Russian Grenadier Officer, cloth mitre Middle Row
GR2: Russian Flagbearer, drawn sword, alternate officer GR1: Russian Officer, pointing, tricorne, polearm Bottom Row
GR3a: Russian Drummer, tricorne GR4a: Russian 1st Rank Pikeman, drawn pistol, bellybox, tricorne He passed along 10 of the Russian figures to us for review (all 9 releases plus a second Grenadier), and like his other figures, they came well done. They measured out to be just about spot on 25mm from the bottom of the feet to the eyes. There's minimal flash on the figures, all of which is easily pared away with a knife. The illustration at right shows the figures in their raw state--very clean! All the usual pouches, scaks, boxes, and other acoutrements hang off belts. Polearms are cast on the same base, but you'll need to cut them off and re-attach to the sculpted hand--this gives you the option of substituting wire or another material sturdier than lead/pewter. Note that for the pikeman, you must supply your own wire for the pike. All in all, these are very fine figures that deserve a place on your Great Northern War tabletop. These additions to his line should fit in well with the War of Spanish Succession figures he already offers, should you want to expand to the east. The Swedish figures available are:
