Comic superheroes will adventure into computers since First Star Software, Inc. made a licensing agreement with DC Comics Inc. for the computer software rights for Superman and Wonder Woman. First Star will feature the two heroes in its Super Powers series of computer programs to be released in September.

Scott Peterson of First Edition Graphic Arts Studio and the designer of Privateer, announced that the game would be listed on the top 100 games list in Games magazine. Privateer is a board game of naval conflict in the 18th century. The Royal Navy, designed by Jack Greene of Quarterdeck Games will also appear on Games Magazine top 100 list. The Royal Navy is a naval game featuring famous British vessels from World War I and II.

Fans of the soap opera All My Children can now portray their favorite characters when they play TSR Inc.s new board game, The All My Children Game. Players move their characters around a board representing key locations In the t.v. series, attempting to complete personal goals while boobytrapping other characters' plans such as running away with Tad Martin or bugging Erica Kane's office.

Late News

Jack Greene is also in the news for his recent acceptance of the challenge by the Australian wargamers to the American-Australian Wargaming competition. This year, in the initial challenge to be played in Australia, the weekend of January 25,1986, the match shall be fought over a game of Pan of France by Games Designers'Workshop. If Greene wins as the American representative the Aussies will pay for his trip. If he loses, he will eat the French motorized counters from the game.

Mayfair Games Inc. has cancelled plans to release the Blackmoor Chronicles by Dave Arneson.

Bill Jaffe, head of the Collectors' Guild, announced an agreement with Diverse Talents Inc. to jointly sponsor the auctions at Origins in 1986 to be held in Los Angeles, California. Current plans call for five auctions of three hours each, two each on Friday and Saturday and one on Sunday. The Collectors' Guild will be publishing a catalog of prices after the auctions.
