George Perez, who contributed to the design of Teen Titan characters, illustrated the cover of the newly-released DC Heroes Role Playing Game" for Mayfair Games, Inc. Known for his work in the series, Crisis on Inflnite Earth and the book, Tales of the Teen Titans, Perez incorporated the DC characters and villains into the cover design. These figures include Nightwing , Starfire , Cyborg, Green Lantern , Batman , Superman, Wonder Woman Changeling, Joker, Terminator and Brotherblood.

Chaosium Inc.'s Pendragon game will accomplish a number of firsts in the genre of role-playing games. It will record stats for behavior and make this a critical part of the game. Each player character will have a family; hence, glory accumulated by one character is passed to his heirs, i.e. new player characters. Pendragon will also deal with Christianity and romance.

According to the Simulations Canada newsletter, future projects include two board games. Viking , Kingdoms of the North Sea, 900-1050 and West Front, the second part of the strategic WWII system started with Lebensraum . The company is also planning to release two new computer games: Golan Front and Hurricane , a game of the Battle of Britain.

First Comics of Evanston, IL introduces Shatter, the first computerized comic. Written by Peter B. Gillis, Shatter was designed by comic artist Mike Saenz on an Apple Macintosh using Macpaint software. Publicity for the new comic will target the 350,000 Apple Macintosh owners as well as the comics market. Shatter is scheduled to become a regular second feature in First's Jon Sable, Freelance comic by Mike Grell.

Pacesetter Ltd. recently licensed a Swedish translation of its CHTT-T '" roleplaying game. Called CHOCK in Sweden, the game will be produced by Aventyresspel HB of Stockholm and should appear this month.

Grenadier Models Inc. will produce 25mm white metal miniatures for CHILL . The set, called THINGS after the CHILL - manual, will appear this month.

ETO, the new Europa newsletter, begins publication this month. The fanzine focuses on Game Designers' Workshop's Europa series with reviews, analysis of rule systems, scenarios, historical background, and other features. Copies of the first issue are available from the publisher at no charge while supplies last.

Pacesetter Ltd.'s Director of Marketing Carl Smith says that a screenplay based on the company's CHILL role-playing game is currently in the works.

In case you haven't noticed, the price of the cartoon role-playing game Toon rose to $8.95.

The Midwest Wargamer's Association Newsletter (MWAN), published six times per year, features articles concerning historical wargaming. MWAN also publishes special issues in addition to the newsletter. Past special issues highlighted the American Civil and Mexican- American Wars. MILTRA, the Military Training Equipment Division of Z.M. Iwaszko Ltd., manufactures realistic-looking war game miniatures and terrain modules.
