Errata and clarifications for West End Games Inc.'s Star Trek board game: Rules Book: The rule in ssection 3.5 under Neutral Display may be a little confusing. it states that at the beginning of the game, the Political marker is placed in the 0 box with the UFP side up; if the UFP gains points, the marker is moved up the track; if the UFP loses points the marker is moved down until it reaches zero, at which point it is flipped to the Klingon side and moved up the track.

This rule implies that if the Klingon later loses points such that his total falls below 0, the marker is flipped back to the UFP side and moved up the track. In other words, a gain for one side is a loss for the other.

In rule 3.5 under Federation and Klingon Displays you are told to assign a commander to each ship which has one or more commissioned officers. In addition, the rule should state that if the commander of a ship is killed, a new commissioned officer (if there still are any on board) should be assigned to the command. You do not need the command'skill to be a commander.

It is implied, but not stated, that in the Solitaire game you may exceed 9 Political points.

Paragraph Book: Paragraph 689 reads 'go to' without a paragraph reference. This should be 'go to 697.' West End Games Inc., 30th St., 11 E New York, NY 10001.

Role Play Stuff

Errata and clarifications for West End Games Inc.'s Paranoia game: It is a well-known fact that Paranoia contains no errata. However, traitorous sabotage has been discovered and dealt with.

On page 36, section 12.1.4, it is stated that grenade-users get Aimed Weapon Bonuses. This is Treason! Grenades use Comprehension Bonus.

Page 73 section 17.6 refers to section '13.9.2.' Treason! This should be 13.10.2.

Please note that the price lists in the Player Handbook and the Adventure Book do not always match. This is, of course, deliberate. Players think the prices are one thing, and find out too late that they owe more or have overpaid. What fun!

Page 105 section 21.4.6 refers to " out-of-date diagrams of CB1 sector." These diagrams are located on the backs of the Adventure and Gamemaster Handbooks. West End Games Inc., 30th St., 11 F, New York, NY 10001.
