War Game Trial of Strength Errata from Panther Games. Despite the best laid plans of mice and men the following errata are brought to your attention: Map 1. The Ploesti oilwell (Rumania) is missing. You can imagine the Germans have placed it underground or that it has been levelled by Allied bombing. Alternatively, you can try your artistic flair and draw it in using a rotring pen-good luck. 2. The bottom edge of the map was unfortunately trimmed about 5mm too low. You will need to retrim it to a line running along the base of the words "Czechoslovakia" and "Moscow". Counters 1. The 1st Hungarian infantry corps should be designated the 5th. 2. The 2nd Rumanian army HQ should be designated the 4th. 3. The step level on the back of the first counters of the 56th and 57th panzer korps should read '3' instead of , 1'. Situation Map Sheet 1941 1. The German 17 Army didn't get a guernsey. it should be located in Army Group South (Poland) north-west of Lvov. Ready Reference Card 1. Amend the CRT by changing the '10' result of the 1-15 column to read '1/111' instead of '112W. The CRT on the map is correct. Rules 1. Section 1.5-change'CRT Combat Results Chart' to 'CRT Combat Results Table'. 2. Section 2.2-as the first counter sample is obviously an armoured unit amend its title to read 'Example of an armoured combat unit'. 3. Section 23.2-ports also should have an intrinsic garrison. Amend the first sentence to read 'Each capital city or town and all ports are deemed...' The second paragraph should read '... are rejuvenated if their capital or port is not enemy controlled.' 4. Section 24.1-at the end of this section add the following: 'In the 1941, 1942 and 1943 scenarios the Soviet player sets up first. In the 1944 scenario the Axis player sets up first.' 5. Section 24.6-unfortunately for the Soviets they only had 31 infantry armies, so amend the line to read 'Inf Armies 31 (3GD)(- 10)'. That's why in Section 25.3 only 20 of the 22 Inf Armies are designated. 6. Section 25.1-at the end of paragraph one add 'Unless specifically designated, listings of Soviet units will include both line and Guard.' 7. Section 25.4-under 'Soviet forces' substitute 'I Baltic' for 'Volkhov' HQ and '2 Ukrainian' for 'Voronezh' HQ. 8. Section 26-in figure 4 the step level of 57 Pz Korps should read '3' instead of '1'. 9. Credits-under 'Development' change 'Walden' to read 'Waldon'. My apologies Geoff.
