You're reading a really different type of trade magazine. GAME TRADE NEWS will tell you what's out, what's "hot," and wha6 coming in new game products. Every month, we'll cover role-games, war games, other adult games, and miniatures. We'll have a calendar of trade events and shows, industry news briefs, and feedback from retailers on important topics and problems-with their ideas and solutions. GAME TRADE NEWS will present this information in a format that~ unique, to the point, and readable. For example: "Retail Counter" will list the top-selling games and miniatures by category for the past month, and "Behind the Counter" will feature retail opinion, compiled through telephone interviews with game retailers; "About to be Out" will list scheduled game releases by quarter, as of press time; and our other regular columns will also be short, concise, and timely. There's a Reader Inquiry Card you can use to obtain more information about products and companies you see in advertisements and reviews. This card comes after the last page of the GAME TRADE NEWS supplement inside your issue of GAME NEWS magazine. Instructions on how to use the card appear next to the cards, and beside the advertisers' index in this supplement. Using the Reader Inquiry Card can assist you with your buying plans-the card provides game manufacturers and distributors with your name, address, and phone number, and enables them to send you more detailed literature, catalogs, and ordering information. And GAME TRADE NEWS will provide you with something no other trade magazine can offer-reviews of the latest releases, with a five star rating system. You don't have time to personally play every game in your store in order to know what to recommend to customers. And you don't have to-GAME NEWS does it for you. We've put your copy of GAME TRADE NEWS inside the consumer edition of GAME NEWS for a good reason-you get a chance to look at the reviews of the new games, and see what consumers are interested in as reflected by the features and articles. Also, take a look at the inside of the protective mailing cover around your copy of GAME NEWS/GAME TRADE NEWS. It has a list of games reviewed in this issue of the consumer edition, along with their star ratings. This protective cover can be detached from your magazine and the list of games reviewed displayed in the store. This will draw attention-and more sales-to these games. Another way you benefit from GAME TRADE NEWS is with the bonus you get every issue-a free copy of the consumer edition, GAME NEWS. Simply pull-out the GAME TRADE NEWS supplement and you can sell GAME NEWS. In fact, why not sell a dozen or more copies of GAME NEWS every month? If you're interested in stocking the consumer edition of GAME NEWS, call Will Niebling at (414) 248-3687 for wholesale terms and distributors in your area. However, GAME TRADE NEWS can't help you unless you receive a copy every month. We'll send complimentary issues to our retail list on an irregular basis, so the only way to guarantee you'll get an issue each month is to subscribe. A subscription is $20.00 for one year (12 issues), and subscription cards are in front of the cover to GAME TRADE NEWS. This is the last time you'll see an editorial in GAME TRADE NEWS for awhile. Unless we have something really important to say, or you have something important to tell the trade, we'll use this space in future issues for more trade information, retailer ideas and quotes. We'd much rather read about what retailers and wholesalers are doing, wouldn't you?
