Last year we switched to a new game development model which is now beginning to bear fruit! Kill Dr. Lucky and Vampire by Reiner Knizia have both entered Alpha testing at GameTable Online.
Alpha means that all of the features have been programmed and the game can be played - although there are still bugs to be fixed. Both programmers are hard at work on their bugs and as soon as they finish their top priority ones, we'll mark the games Beta and open them up for play!
Our goal is to have a new game ready to play every two or three months from here on - and we have quite a number in development lined up behind these two, so we are looking good. Getting more games online for play is definitely a key factor in the success of the site.
Two Games Licensed - Cargo and SeasonsTom Jolly's Cargo has just been licensed to GameTable Online from Wingnut Games. It is a very interesting game which appeals to both casual and more hardcore strategy game lovers. The next programmer that we line up who is not set on creating only a certain game will work on this one (it is taking Battle Cattle's place in line).
Seasons: The Calendar Rummy Game from Dust Bunny Games is the other new addition to the site. The press release is coming out next week. This game was just shown at GTS and it generated quite a lot of interest. We are very happy to add it to the site as we have lacked a rummy-style game to offer our players.
Member Benefits Continue to Pile Up
We've added some more member benefits to the site. These add even more value to GTO's subscription while simultaneously advertising the great companies we are working with. The recent additions include:
Griffon Games, a brick and mortar store near our offices, has posted an online GTO store where games can be purchased that we feature on the site. Members get 10% off and free shipping.
Jolly Games is giving our members 20% off all purchases on their website.
Wingnut Games is offering three free games to our users when they cash in GTO points for a game in our Treasure Chest. The games are SOAP, OG and the OG Expansion! This benefit was just lined up and will soon be announced on the site.
