Survived

by George Phillies

Indeed, Game! has survived to its second issue. Thanks to the wonders of modern electronics, thousands of gamers across the United States and around the world have had a chance to enjoy our collection of articles on boardgaming, miniatures, rolegaming, eurogaming, and other branches of the hobby.

We welcome Contributors Tom Vasel, Greg Schloesser, Susan Rozmiarek, and Eddy Bee. Tom Vasel is an inverterate reviewer of games, especially those for the slightly lighter eurogaming audience. Greg Schloesser is a former Editor of Strategist, Monthly magazine of the Strategy Gaming Society and the most-published (approaching issue 400, after more than 30 years of publication) gaming magazine in the universe. His reviews of board war games fill a gap. Susan Rozmiarek and husband and friends actually play games, and send us report after report on their gaming sessions. Eddy Bee makes clever contributions to real questions on game play.

Now, thanks to the wonders of modern electronics, we can publish to a limited extent, and will be doing so. The new cover is the first bit of that. Because many of you have black and white printers, not computer screens, we will be shipping the colour cover separately.

Last issue, we announced a cover price of $3 per issue. Astute readers will have noticed that there was no indication as to where their hard earned dollars, Euroas, Yen, RenMinBei, Rubles, Dinars, or Meeple were to be sent. We have now covered this gap, thanks to an arrangement between Game! and Homer Games of Homer, Illinois. Every month, we will be sending Homer Games PUB and PDF copies of Game! where they will be stored, printed, and shipped off to our paper customers. And so

Until Next Month: Gamers! To Your Tables!
