Q. Are the only Soviet stacks allowed to use regular stacking those that use the corps markers? Are stacks not using corps markers stuck at the mountain stacking level?

A: Yes! The stacking limitations apply to all Soviets stacks not using the special provisions of the rules. No more stacks at regular stacking limits may be present than are allowed by the OB listings for Soviet "Corps" (actually, Army) markers having been flipped to their normal stacking side.

QCan the Finnish/Soviet Player trace road supply over hexside 151311514 (Lake Hexside) as there is no bridge at that location?

A: Both players may trace road supply over that narrow straight hexside even though the road does not cross the hexside as in hexside 3717/3718, for example. Think of it this way in warm weather there is a ferry present and in cold weather the lake is frozen and units can just drive across. A road element Line of supply can also be traced across 1304/1404 but not 1303/1402 as the transportation line does not point to that particular hexside.

Q. According to rule 30C1, Finnish air units may bomb air bases in Estonia. Since ground units may not enter Estonia how can the Soviet player repair the airbase hits?

A: Per rules as written, no. If you like, allow the Soviet player to repair one air base hit per Soviet initial phase, in Estonia, to represent garrison and repair assets not otherwise represented in the game - this is just an unofficial suggestion, mind you.

Q. If Western Intervention is triggered, the Soviet DD flotilla in Murmansk is eliminated. Does this count for VPs if eliminated this way?

A: Yes.

263. A WW. Finnish Setup / Supply

Q. Are Finnish units that set up in Petsamo out of supply?

A: Yes at least until Allied intervention.

Q. Are Finnish air and naval units regular forces during the set-up or are they part of the high command reserves?

A: They are regular forces, since they are not specifically included as part of the High Command reserve, I must assume they are part of the other possible grouping, i.e. the regular forces. Deploy all Air Force and Navy forces BEFORE the Soviet player deploys any forces.

Q: Does Helsinki have any intrinsic AA?

A: No, only Soviet owned map-features have Intrinsic AA. The only AA assets the Finnish player has are those points of AA associated with positional AA, combat AA and naval units.
