Scorched Earth Crowned!

Scorched Earth won the Origins Award for best board game published in 1987 in its category (period 1900-1946). The Origins Awards ceremony was held 20 August 1988 during Gen Con/Origins in Milwaukee, WI. GDW very graciously allowed John Astell to receive the award.

The kind reader may recall from my editorial in TEN 1 that I felt Scorched Earth deserved a crown. Well, this award is it; they don't come any better in our hobby. It would be fitting, therefore, to review the names of those people who made Scorched Earth the winner that it is.
