Scorched Earth Errata Update Following are some additional errata for Scorched Earth. If we ever get around to revising the SE errata sheet, some of these may be included. However, you should note that the map changes to Maps 2A and 7A are prompted by additional research during the design of The Urals module and as such are not really SE map errata. MAPS: Map 6A: The symbol in hex 6A:2904 represents an island. It consists of clear terrain. Map 7A: Road hexes should be drawn from the western to the northern map-edges as follows: 7A:0617, 0616, 0615, 0614, 0613, 0612, 0611, 0610, 0510, 0509, 0408, 0308, 0307, 0206, 0106, and 0005. This road should pass through the city of Kotlas (0611). Ignore the military district line beginning on the 0409/0510 hexside and travelling to the 0112/ 0113 hexside. Map 2A: Road hexes should be drawn from the eastern map-edge to the Arkhangelsk-Vologda rail line as follows: 2A:0600, 0601, 0702, 0703, 0704, 0705, 0706, 0707, and 0708. Note: When adding roads to existing maps, use a medium point black felt tip marker. COUNTERS: The Soviet 1-8 Ski X 42 is missing its brigade symbol. ORDERS OF BATTLE: Axis OB: Jun II 42: The reference in the note should be to 3-10 Mot XX Nord, not 3-8 Mot XX Nord. Aug I 44: The 4-6-6 Inf XX 543 should be 4-6-6 Inf XX 543M to correspond to the counter. Sep I 44: The 4-6-6 Inf XX 542M should be 542 to correspond to the counter. Soviet Air OB: The rating of the I-16 air unit should be 4F3 0/8 corresponding to the counters. Allied Lend-Lease Aircraft Chart: There is no gold-brown counter for the RAF Spit-8 air unit received Mar 44. The best way to handle this is to keep the Guards Spit-8 counter in play when the RAF group allowance is withdrawn Jul 44 and make the conversion of the Spit-8 to Guards status mandatory for the Soviet player that turn. RULES: 32A4. Bulgaria. In the second sentence replace the word "city" with the word "hex". More Errata Notes Based on the many requests we get for the errata sheet titled below as "SE w/Urals Mods," we suspect that a number of people who don't own The Urals request this sheet thinking that it will provide some valuable errata for SE not contained in the stand-alone SE sheet. You see, this particular errata sheet is prepackaged in all games of The Urals, and so anyone owning that game would not need to request it. Therefore, it would follow that people are just requesting this sheet from curiosity, perhaps to gain some insights into how The Urals affects play of FitE/SE. Now we don't mind you doing this by any means, but we might as well confess that there is little new ground broken in this sheet, nor does it serve as a Urals preview. For the most part it merely restates the items from the SE sheet that are not incorporated into The Urals rulebook. All the new and additional information contained in this sheet appears in this article's errata update.
