Trooper, Cavalry Regiment of Montevideo, 1801; Bi-corne black felt, white lace edge, red cockade with white holding strap and button, coat dark blue with red collar, cuffs and turn-backs, white lace edging on collar and cuff trim, white hearts on turn-backs, epaulet and chest lace also in white, white metal buttons. Breeches and waistcoat are white, gaiters are buff, black shoes, musketoon strap in buff leather, shabraque and pistol holsters in dark blue with red lace edged with thin white piping. Standard; field red, gold crown with red inner lining, white lace side ornaments, the central shield has a silver edge and sky blue field, the castle is buff with the ground brown, a silver lace fringe is sewn on the edge of the flag. FIG.3. Trooper, Escuadron de Husares del Gobierno, 1807; Shako in black felt with black leather bands and top, red plume and cockade, brass plume holder and button, yellow cockade holding lace. Jacket sky blue, collar and cuffs also sky blue, lace on collar, cuffs, chest and trim is yellow, breeches sky blue with yellow lace trim, black boots with yellow lace trim and tassel, white sword-knot, white leather sword slings, scabbard in black leather with brass fittings. Standard; crimson field, the field for each of the quarters in the central shield is crimson, the crown, castle, lion and edges are all in gold, the scroll is in white with black legend "HUSARES DE GOBIERNO".
