By Jürg Meister
I received from Jürg Meister a number of items that I could utilise in El Dorado, some are short while others are not so, hopefully you will find some of the details of help and interest. In his letter was this note: "I read with interest the article by Paul V. Walsh about the use of airborne forces in the Peru-Ecuador war of 1941, but I do not think that the Peruvians actually dropped more than three men at Puerto Bolivar, just some sort of patrol. This figure and the names of the three parachutists are quoted on page 314 of Humberto Araujo Aranas book ( Tomo III ) "Antecedentes y Choques Fronterizos, Ocupacion y Desocupacion Peruana del Territorio Ecuatoriano en 1941-1942", and Air Force operations on page 239 to 255 of the same book." --TDH Some Names of Important Men of the Brazilian Army during the War with Paraguay:
