Escuadron de Lanceros Alemanes 1826

Debide a la eminente declaracion de ostilidades entre el Imperio del Brazil u las Provinias Unidas del Rio de la Plata. el Emperador Pedro II, autoriza la formacion de un Escuadron de Lanceros Alemanes, mercenarios los cuales entran a prestar servicio en el Ejercito Imperial encuadrados en la 2 Brigada de Caballeriam al mando del Capitan de origen aleman Von Quast.

En las Pcias. Unidas se toman identicas medidas a saber: El Gral. Alvear en el ano 1826, autoriza para la campana del Brazil formar un Escuadron de Laneros Alemanes, autorizando al Cnel. Aleman Heine reclutar connacionales con ese fin., pero visto que era gente de poco montar a caballo, comparada con nuestros paisanos, se resolvio que los soldados alemanes se in-corporaran a la Infanteria.

Saddle sheepskin in black edged in yellow cloth, shabraque blue with green lace edge outer edge thin yellow piping, lance pennant; green top, yellow bottom, top corner has red, black, yellow horizontal bars, arm chevron in yellow with green edge and black legend, surmounted by a green rosette
