I received from Mr. A. Haarman a copy of Puerto Rico and the Forts of Old San Juan by A. Manucy and R. Torres-Reyes, Published by Chatham Press, U.S.A. and available [I believe] through the National Park Service, U.S.A. the only address that I have which might be of some help in obtaining a copy is; Caribe Tourist Promotions, P.O. Box 1555, Carolina, Puerto Rico 00630, U.S.A. This book deals mainly with the construction and reasons why they were built ie. the expeditions of Sir Francis Drake, Sir George Clifford 3rd Earl of Cumberland, the Dutch General Hendrik, the various Buccaneers and the U.S. Admiral William T. Sampson in 1898. A very good book for anyone thinking of organizing a wargame for the 16th & 17th centuries with good illustrations and plans of the forts.
