La Guerra de las Malvinas

Book Review

by Terry Hooker

Part of the text defied scanning, and is presented as an image--RL

this in my opinion is good as it allows more photos on the Argentine troops to be printed which is all for the better as details on Argentine troops and Order of Battle are even now a bit hazy.

So it was pleasing to find a list of troops used in this war [sorry, but to the people fighting it was a war and not an exercise; that. enhanced the previous one published in the osprey book on the same subject [Army], also I found the text of interest too, it had me cross referencing everything with my other books and articles that deal with this conflict for hours. These books are in the same format as the Osprey men at arms books with 40 pages, of these 8 are coloured plates.

Trouble is I have not been told a price for it, so all I can suggest is write to this address for more details; NUMISMATICA BUENOS AIRES, LAVALLE 742, LOCAL 5, BUENOS AIRES, REPUBLICA ARGENTINA. The other books in the series are: "Primera Invasion Inglesa a Buenos Aires", "San Martin [1] de Bailen al paso de los Andes", "Rosas y la Vuelta de Obligado" and "La Guerra de las Malvinas [II] -Air Forces-" all of which sound very interesting, the one on Rosas will be a help.

I do hope that this new venture is a success, with many more titles to come. T.D.H.
