Well a number of things have been keeping me thinking during the last few months, one of these being how could I show my gratitude to the friends and subscribers who have over the years helped, not only myself, by producing articles or researched subjects on Latin American Military History for the good of all students in this subject. I have decided to create Honorary Members, this may seem a bit over the top and pretentious, but I will restrict myself to appointing only two persons per year, except this year. So I hope that you all take this as a way of me showing my esteem.

All of these have in my opinion done service to our hobby and they are still alive researching and writing.

Honorary members have free membership and if they wish can use their title on letterheads.

This issue has taken me just over a week to prepare before sending it to the printers who do such a good job, as I think you will all agree, much better than I ever did!

I am pleased to include in this issue an article by Mr. G. LaCasse of Canada on the Chaco War which will help anybody, who on seeing Mr. C. A. Norman's illustrations of this war in an early issue of El Dorado could not find any other data on it.

Also thanks for resubscribing and showing me that other people enjoy this absorbing subject, whether it be Unifforms, Campaigns, Organization, Insignia, Flags or Medals.
