Fig. 1. Officer, Company of Carabiniers, Gala 1814. Helmet black leather with gold crest and chin-scales, black peak, brown fur turban (jaguar fur), black horsehair crest with green tuft. Dolman in dark blue piped red, collar in dark blue piped red, cuffs dark blue with gold lace, gilt shoulder scales, pelisse is red with gold lace and gilt buttons, black fur trim, breeches are dark blue with a double red stripe, boots black, sword knot in gold lace, sword scabbard is brass.

Fig. 2. Officer, Service Dress, Winter 1815. Cap with dark blue top section, gold lace on the band with red edging, gold lace tassel, pelisse is red with black fur and yellow lace, overalls are dark blue with a single yellow stripe, gilt buttons and black boots.

Fig. 3. Officer, Gala 1815. Shako in dark blue felt with black leather top and bands, green plume, yellow cords, gilt shako plate in the form of a flaming grenade, national cockade between this and the plume in light blue, white, light blue, this has a gold lace holding strap with gilt button, chin-scales are also in gilt. Tunic is dark blue piped in red, collar is dark blue piped red, turnbacks are red with gold lace grenades, pocket piping is red, cuffs are dark blue with gold lace, gilt shoulder scales, waist-sash is crimson, pouch-belt is white leather, pouch is black leather with gilt grenade and gold lace edging. Overalls are dark blue with red stripe and black leather inside leg sections and bottoms, black boots, white sword knot, brass sword scabbard with white leather sword slings.

Shako as per fig.3., tunic in dark blue with red piping, turnbacks are red with yellow grenade edged with white (see insert), pocket piping red, cuffs are dark blue piped red, epaulettes have a red and yellow fringe with it's board and half-moon in red cloth, waistcoat white. Breeches dark blue piped red, black boots, white leather straps and belts, white sword knot, brass waist belt buckle. Rank chevron yellow edged in red.
