By Terry Hooker
Following the publication of issue 1, I received many letters of goodwill and friendly advice which I hope to implement in this issue. For the new member I would like to say welcome to the interesting field of research into Hispanic and Luco Brazilian militaria of the Americas (including their enemies) that our journal tries to cover. You will find that some articles in the future are in Spanish or French, this is for authors who may be willing to send in material for publication but do not want the added problem of translation. Most people should be able to work out the uniform details in any of these three languages. In this issue we reproduce illustrations and information received by Mr. C.A. Norman of the U.S.A. on the Gran Chaco War 1932 - 35, these were received with other information and illustrations of other Latin American countries and will appear in later issues. My apologies to anyone who already has a copy of the 1922 volume on the Brazilian Army by Gustavo Barroso and J. Wasth Rodriques, as the plates of early Brazilian uniforms are taken from it.
