Editorial

Welcome to EGG5. I thought that this one would go a little faster than EGG4 did but here it is, Feb. 2nd, and I've still yet a little more type yet to do. Maybe next time I'll get it done in a month.

If you have any new sets of game rules you want to air or any ideas that have not yet formed into complete games PLEASE WRITE. I have enough material to keep going for a fair while but I do like to have someone else's rules to review. I offer anyone willing this service. All you have to do is write.

I've been doing two things in the local club. I am making the attempt to introduce/convert some role players to the mystical union of historica1 miniatures. I'm using a home grown set of rules (who would have guessed it?) that cover colonial wars. They work well and I plan to write them up for MWAN soon.

My other local endeavor is to run a "Star Wars" RPG. I'm using Westend Games System (with only slight mutations) for the games but I'm handling the in between game time by a Matrix Game . This is working quite well. Not only is it making it easy to keep track of what is going on but it also pulls the players deeper into the game since they are having a real hand in forming the universe.

I am certain this will work for any RPG and in so doing cut down on the information overload that plagues so many GMs. If you want more info on this, just write me. I plan to write a simple outline on how you can do this for yourself.
