The South London Warlords are a very large wargames club in England. Their flyer says it all about their upcoming game day. If I could cross the ocean (which my wife's student loans precludes) I'd love to go. I saw one of the Warlords newsletters a while back and it looks like they are doing some very interesting work with live action science fiction role playing. I am personally a little leery about most live action RPGs since they seem to me to have a great potential to get out of hand. Scaring old ladies in public parks while fighting "orcs" might not be the best thing for the hobby... I do not find these problems in the Warlords science fiction games. I read about a Star Trek game that was run in a school/star ship (I guess during a break). It sounded like a well orchestrated mystery game, with a science fiction bent. I'd love to play in a game like this, or at least learn how to run one. Maybe John, or one of his cohorts, can write us an article telling how they go about running their games!
