Welcome to EGG. If you are reading this you are in a very select group. You have either 1) met me personally and expressed an interest in new games, or 2) come to my attention through your own articles as a maker of new ideas. New ideas is what this thing Is all about. We all share the goal of creating new frontiers In gaming. My main aim in EGG is to provide a new forum to pursue that goal. We come from a hundred different backgrounds, with hundreds more different perspectives on how game "should" be run. Some of us are in the Mainstream of gaming, others of us are farther out in the radical fringe. Be that as it may, alone our voices are drowned out by the static of schlock games. In that atmosphere we are not even able to communicate with one another. EGG is here to help us talk to on another. I have a few goals that I want to attain from EGG. Well, maybe not a few, but all reasonable, I assure you. They are to:
2) to spread the word about my own unique perspective on gaming (i.e. an ego trip), 3) to provide a forum for letters which debate and provide constructive feedback on games and ideas, 4) to run play by mail games which demonstrate our ideas In practice, 5) to print any short articles (3 to 4 pages) that are sent to me, 6) to hopefully Increase the general gaming communities knowledge of new Ideas so that we radical fringe won't always have to fight to get players, and 7) most importantly to have some FUN! So welcome aboard, come in and sit a spell (as we say in Southern Indiana). Let's see If this sucker flies. End NoteI expect that this edition of EGG will be the biggest I put out this year. Normally I expect it to run closer to five or six pages. It will all depend on what type of responce I get from you, the readers. I hope you find this rag interesting. Maybe even a few of you will be excited by what I aim to do. Whatever your responce though, I hope that after reading EGG you think a little more about games and where are hobby is going. Thank you for your support. Chris.
