Hello Jean, Thought I'd drop a line to let you Know I received new copies of EMPIRES, EAGLES AND LIONS. Very nice, I'm impressed and wish you much success and luck. It's a much needed product in our hobby. On a note of suggestion to your zinc a professional look, I think you should avoid the use of personalities such as the members first names, when you write a serie of articles. This is fine in the Club section(NJN) but I don't think anyone in Texas or California really cares about Tom or Bill and this is not intended to be sarcastic I too have many questions about special types of units that I'd like to get answers to and I'll send in request if that's OK. I like very much the suggestions for Cavalry being able to fire and charge (certain types only) very much as it makes a lot of sense. On your article re: Skirmishers and their handling in Wargames, issue # 18, pages 21 to 27, for the rule change part # 2 "Non-screening skirmishers stands must operate with a spacing of a least 1/2 inch". I think changing or eliminate the word "at least" to more than would be more accurate, otherwise #2 is basically the same as #1 "maximum 1/2 inch." Answer from the editor. Well the above is very good. It shows that Carl is appreciative of what we are trying to do here. He is getting involved and it's what we want to see. We very seldom get some feed back even from our members!! Of course Carl you can send your requests and problems either in the form of a letter or better as an article. That does not mean we can help you, but sure can try. If you don't have a typewritter send yp your request or article anyway. It will be published if we can read it and meets the courtesy requirements.... Thank you for your suggestion on the "non-screening skirmishers". You are right a spacing of at least 1/2 inch is not precise enough and must be "more than 1/2 inch apart.
