Editorial

Thanks

by Jean A. Lochet

I am afraid, we don't have much to report as far as club activities and rules in New Jaw News. December has been a very quiet month as far as wargaming for obvious reasons. We have finish a fun battle in the Fantasy World using the newly published rules by Mike and Sheila Gilbert, which are sold by FANTASY GAMES UNLIMITED.

Since I don't want to see valuable space lost, I take this opportunity to continue my editorial of page I and how relieved I was to receive the articles from Don Graves, Tom DeVoe and Janet Danels. Furthermore, to night I was talking to Tom DeVoe on the telephone and he told me about the fine articles he has received for our next issue from England, Mike Embree, Ray Johnson etc. The interest of everyone is very rewarding.

I am going for a trip of about two weeks once more in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapor, however that will not affect the publication of the next issue of this magazine, since I have already completed my articles for the next issue.

"OVER THE HILL" is defined by Mike Gilbert as being over 30!! Mike was blessed with this event not too long ago. Frankly, he has not been been the same since.... He makes me think of Marshal Ney after the retreat of Russia! What should I say? I'm 50... and never felt so good. Of course we are on the downslope but we have a long way to go.... I hope! So we're not Hussars!... BIG DEAL!

By the way tike, we are also waiting for your Campaign plan as you so kindly offer your help in that matter.

We hope to make this new section of EMPIRES, EAGLES AND LIONS a regular one. The burden is on our readers to make it a success.

We have the pleasure to present some extracts of a letter from a fellow wargamer and friend Carl Kish, unfortunately unable to be a member of our club. We hope that is only temporary and we consider Carl as a member-at-large.

IMPORTANT

Once more the purpose of this magazine is to provide information to the Napoleonic wargamer. That is regardless of status. That is as much as possible UNBIAS information. Everyone help is requested, so questions from our readers are more than welcome here. Perhaps, we can start here a regular "WANTED INFORMATION PAGE (OR PAGES)
