The Red Lancer

The Red Lancer, P.O. Box 8056, Mesa, AZ 85204 offers a line of limited edition bronze figures (see photo). Robin Bates, President, also notes that he has a nice selection of old toy soldiers, military miniatures, and antique and contemporary prints and maps.

The bronze figures are truly limited editions, with only 25 of each casting produced. Only 200of a contemporary military art print will be published, while artist remarqued proofs will be limited to just 20 remarques. For a copy of their color catalog call (602) 964-9667.

The Federal Eagle

The Federal Eagle, P.O. Box 175, Spotswood, NJ 08884 sent their six-page list of posters and books, including samples of contemporary artwork of the young Bonaparte and Marshal Ney by Jack Demers. Their list is free provided that you send a first class postage stamp with your request.

Vive L'Empereur Books

Vive L'Empereur Books, 200 Market Street, Suite 112, Lowell, MA 01852 has a catalog which includes a one-page historical calendar and an interesting three-page synopsis of the 1806-07 winter campaign in Prussian Poland suggesting it was an unintentional "rehearsal" for the 1812 Russian campaign. Nearly 300 books, posters and videos are offered. Many of the books have useful comments written by the two owners, Pierre Beaumier and Stephen Schmidt, who are both members of the Napoleonic Society. The books are separated by categories such as biography, fiction, French Revolution, military, etc. This catalog is issued monthly.
